The results of the survey are very disappointing. Generally, these types of results are more visible in very giant organizations where everyone is a cog in the wheel and does not feel that he or she is doing something important or making a difference. Poor scores for promotional opportunities means that people does not have any expectations from the job which may result in poor performance. Poor scores about trust on relationship with owner and supervisor shows some deep problems. Those who are directly reporting to owners have shown dissatisfaction, even those who are not directly reporting to owner but interacting regularly are having problems. Futher , the effect of their relationship with their subordinates is also very poor.

An organization with poor superior-junior relationships and a very good satisfaction scores with co workers can hint towards another big problem: Too much of negativity traveling in the organization and rumours and grapevines have a field day in such an organization. Its difficult to imagine how such demotivated workforce can make their clients happy.

Identify one aspect of the organization that you would change if you were in management at Bella’s. What you would do to improve the managerial excellence of the organization?

I would ensure that clear reporting relationships should be there in the organization. The owner should not interact with everyone unless it is important. The deliverables should be clear to everyone and should be based after discussions with team.

Find at least one credible Internet article that provides guidance on implementing that type of change in an organization. Include your explanation of why you believe that approach would work.

I would prefer to use social change methodolgy of Kurt Lewin: unfreezing, changing, freezing. Basically, norms and beliefs of the group will require a change.
