– Usually the ethics are polished in an organization to make the organizations employees understand the basic difference of what is good for them and what is bad for them within the organization. The law is meant to be abide by all and regulations within the organization / company is made to regulate the ethics policies so that there is a win – win situations for both the employees as well as the organization. It usually encompass the organizational, personal and corporate standard policies of the organization.
– The Utilitarian view of ethics is based on the maximum utility outputs theory. This theory states that consequents are responsible for any of the good or the bad actions within the organizations. The consequence is responsible for anyone’s good or bad things in an organization. But it strongly emphasis on the maximum utility coverage and thus recommends that only take such actions where the utility within the organization is maximized.
– In any organization the consequence based from / emerged from any problem is the core issue. Here doing whatever best to certain extend or limit is correct for the company and not doing something to some extend or limits is also correct. The implementations of such things like doing or not doing till extend varies from time to time, situation to situation, place to place, company to company etc. Thus, philosophies of ethical behavior range from do whatever seems best to certain things are right and certain things are wrong.
– Ethics can / may vary from one industry to another. Ethics implementation is based on company to company, person to person etc and industry to industry also.
Example – Mixing a new chemical and experimenting is a good ethic policy for pharma industry which may help the company to evolve a new medicine and such things must be encouraged. But it is a very bad ethic if mixing is done in the flagship Coke factory by an employee wherein we cant just afford any new mixture in the flagship Coke’s main formula of manufacturing and such things must not be encouraged. It is completely dependent upon the company’s core policies based on the ethics management. Thus, ethics may vary from company to company.
